High-capacity thermal autoclaving, VOC recovery, and gas extraction units tailored for the Sultanate's strict environmental compliance standards.
In alignment with Oman Vision 2040, the Sultanate has shifted its environmental infrastructure towards circular economy models and high-efficiency treatment systems. Historically, healthcare waste management presented severe challenges to municipal landfill capacities. Under the oversight of the Oman Environmental Services Holding Company (be'ah), the country has centralized the collection, transport, and treatment of healthcare waste (HCW) to mitigate ecological hazards.
Oman's hot arid climate and dense urban nodes like Muscat, Salalah, and Sohar require waste management systems that prevent microbiological dissemination and chemical leakage. Traditional incineration methods face rigorous scrutiny due to carbon emissions and particulate release in proximity to municipal zones. Consequently, High-Temperature Steam Treatment (Autoclaving) has emerged as the premier technology to safely sterilize healthcare waste.
Our Centralized Medical Waste High-Temperature Steam Treatment Equipment is engineered precisely for these challenges. Operating at sterilization parameters exceeding 134°C, these systems guarantee a 6-log10 reduction in pathogens (Geobacillus stearothermophilus spores) while operating within an enclosed, negative-pressure vacuum system to control ambient odors and emissions.
Pioneering thermodynamic performance through close collaboration with China's leading academic institutions.
Co-developed with specialists from the Institute of Physics and Chemistry Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). Optimizes phase-change heat transfer within the autoclave vessel to minimize energy consumption in hot climates.
Holding Chinese A2 level pressure vessel manufacturing license and compatible with ASME Section VIII Code. Ensures structural durability under high cyclic loads and prevents hazardous micro-leaks.
Equipped with primary heavy-duty waste shredders that break down plastics, glassware, and metal sharps before the thermal cycles, ensuring complete steam penetration and sterilization uniformity.

To handle high throughputs for municipal clinical complexes across Oman, the equipment utilizes a precise thermal process. The central steam treatment sequence is designed to eliminate infectious risks from medical bags, needles, organic tissues, and biological liquids:
Air is a poor heat conductor. The system initiates multiple pre-vacuum pulses utilizing a liquid ring vacuum pump. This ensures all air pockets trapped within the irregular configurations of medical waste are removed, reaching a deep vacuum of -0.09 MPa. Steam can then penetrate deeply into the core of dense waste piles.
High-pressure saturated steam is introduced into the autoclave chamber. The system sustains a temperature range of 134°C to 138°C at a pressure of 0.22 to 0.25 MPa for a holding time of no less than 45 minutes. This destroys all bacterial spores, viruses, fungi, and highly resistant pathogens.
Following sterilization, steam is rapidly vented, and a post-vacuum drying phase is initialized. Evaporative cooling drops waste humidity below 10%, reducing the overall weight of treated residue to decrease municipal landfill transport costs. The exhausted steam and non-condensable gases pass through a high-efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filtration system combined with a secondary VOC thermal destruction block. This system ensures zero toxic vapors or odors are released into Oman’s coastal atmospheres.
